From the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) Frank Lloyd Wright collection. In 1897, Wright's Luxfer Prism light was patented by the U.S. Patent Office under Number 27,977 as an example of electro-glazed molded art-glass for the Luxfer Prism Company office competition in Chicago, IL. This highly geometric flower pattern composed of circles and squares was the only one in a series of prism designs that was actually produced in glass. This picture frame is made of cast zinc alloy with chrome finish. Image area 4" x 6".
